Headings

Eyelets

Clean, simple and very stylish, eyelet curtains create a chic, modern look. The fabric folds provide a calming wave effect. They stack back neatly letting in lots of natural light. You can match your eyelet colour to your pole or any other metal finish in your room. Best of all, they are very easy to hang, threading directly onto the pole with no hooks or rings required.

Plains and Textures, Velvets, Voiles and Abstract fabrics look great with eyelets. But designs that fall irregularly between the folds, like vertical stripes, large patterns and large floral prints should be avoided. Our standard eyelets fit poles with a 30mm diameter or smaller. If you’re looking for something larger our design team will be happy to give you a bespoke quote.

Double Pinch Pleat

Double pinch pleats provide a rich and luxurious detail at the tops of your curtains. The fabric is gathered into 2 pleats to give a decorative elegance when your curtains are drawn. Striking on both tracks and poles with rings, the headings of your curtains are fixed, sewn-in, and pre-dressed, making it easy to maintain perfect pleats along the length of your curtains. Our Flexi Hooks sewn into the pleats enable you to slightly adjust your curtain drop.

All fabric and pattern designs are suitable for pinch pleating, however, heavy velvets and rigid textures can overly bulk curtain headings.

Triple Pinch Pleat

Triple pinch pleats provide a rich and luxurious detail at the tops of your curtains. The fabric is gathered into 3 pleats to give a decorative elegance when your curtains are drawn.

Wave

A modern and elegant style where curtains hang in regular, uniform S-shaped folds. A special flat tape is sewn into the heading allowing the fabric to take on the smooth, stunning ripple effect when hung. A slim and discreet wave track is required for the perfect hang for this type of heading.

Patterned and plain fabrics are suited for wave curtains, yet be wary of vertical stripes, large patterns, and big floral designs which may get lost in the back wave when curtains are open. Sheer voiles work particularly well, with the smooth, flowing design complementing the wave heading style.

Curtain Lengths

Sill Length Curtains sit just above the sill (leaving a 1cm clearance); this will ensure they move and hang freely as well as preventing fraying or marking.

Below Sill Length Curtains allow in lots of natural light and make windows look bigger. As a rule, your curtains should sit around 15cm below the sill, but measurements can vary to take into account obstructions like radiators and furniture.

Floor length Curtains bring an elegant statement to any room. If you have extra space above the window, fixing your pole or track as high as you can will make your curtains even more eye-catching. Leaving a 1cm gap between the curtain and floor will ensure they draw smoothly and reduce the risk of fraying or marking.

Curtain Poles

Curtain poles are a decorative way to hang your curtains – perfect to make a statement. Paired with your chosen fabric and the right set of finials a pole can make a perfect design feature. They will create a focal point and enhance the overall effect of your curtains.

Our poles come in a variety of colours and finishes, allowing you to choose the perfect pole colour and finials to match your décor. If you want a style choice, curtain poles are the right choice for you!

A pole is the only choice for hanging eyelet curtains as the eyelet holes are threaded onto the pole. Our eyelet curtains are manufactured using 40mm eyelets, and so will fit a pole up to 35mm. If you have a pole of more than 30mm diameter then please get in touch for a bespoke quote.

Poles complement all other gathered heading types well, and will require rings to hang your curtains. All Just poles are supplied with rings, finials and brackets.

As with tracks, poles can be placed high above the window to create an illusion of height, which is often a good option for smaller windows. Curtain poles are fitted above the window on the facing wall, so you will need to ensure you have enough space for the brackets and to offer the pole onto them.

Curtain Tracks

Tracks are a more discrete, contemporary  way of hanging your curtains as they are less visible than poles. The subtlety of a track enables your curtains to be the focus – particularly if you want to make a fabulous statement with a striking fabric colour or pattern!

It is usual that once the curtains are hung, the track is not visible when the curtains are closed, giving you a discreet finish.

Tracks provide a smooth, effortless operation, and are suitable for all curtain headings, except eyelets. Wave heading curtains must be hung on a special discreet track that has specially designed gliders to hold the desired wave effect when drawn– hence the reason why we supply a free track with every Wave curtain ordered.

As curtain tracks are available in any lengths they offer more design flexibility; extending your curtains from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall, surrounding your window, can often make your window and room look bigger. This design is a stunning way to add texture, depth and colour to your space. Add wall to wall picture

Our curtain tracks are supplied with gliders and universal brackets; this means that you have the option to fix your track to the ceiling or the facing wall above the window. A ceiling fixed track is exactly what it says it is…. A track mounted to the ceiling with the curtain hanging below it! This method of fitting is a smart solution as it helps to lengthen the space and create an illusion of height. A ceiling fixed track is the perfect answer if the space above your window is limited.
